The Martinez Area Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Program educates people about disaster preparedness for hazards that may impact their area, and trains them in basic disaster response skills, such as fire safety, light search and rescue, team organization, and disaster medical operations.

Since its inception in 1932, the Albatross Sea Scouts have been an important part of the Martinez community by teaching its youth how to be excellent mariners and by supporting our community. Our Sea Scouting program teaches kids ages 10 – 18 about the maritime culture and what it means to be a mariner. Sea Scouts is a proud program that upholds the maritime traditions of the past while looking to the future. Youth who join this program are taught trade skills, teambuilding, and social skills. The Sea Scout program consists of many different elements: boating, rank advancement, fundraising, service to the community, regatta training, fun activities, and so much more!
